When interest rates started to go down below 5%, I decided to check with my mortgage company (Competitor) to see if I could get a better rate. I considered myself as a good customer with all payments being paid on time over the entire life of my loan with (Competitor). However, the representative reviewed my file and told me that the best he could do for me was to put me in a 5 year ARM. I asked how this would help me if the rates start to adjust. The representative assured me that the highest my rate could ever adjust to would be at 9% on a 30 year loan. I did not even consider doing this nonsense refinance.

The next day a flood of lenders started to call and leave messages. I deleted all the messages except the one from Foundation Financial because the representative was not pushy. In fact, his call peaked my interest but I was somewhat leery because I have never even heard of this company. I made the call and talked with the representative who explained what Foundation Financial Group does. He even gave a number of websites to check out about the company including the Better Business Bureau.

After doing my research, I agreed to give them a try. I was then put in contact with (employee_name). She looked over my file and told me exactly what she could do for me and exactly how long the whole process would take. She was able to get me a rate of 4.375. She answered all questions that arose and she made sure that I understood before moving to the next step. By working with (employee_name), the entire process took a total of 8 business days from start to close.

I wanted to send you a personal "thank you" for the fast, efficient and courteous manner in which you and Foundation Financial Group worked with us on the refinance of our house. You made the process so easy which was a major difference compared to what we had experienced up until the time of your call.

We decided to refinance our home in March of this year when interest rates got a couple of points below the rate we were locked in at with the current mortgage company. There is a bank in our area that advertised every morning on the radio about their great rates and how easy it was to do business with them and bragged that they had no voice mail - that you spoke to a live person every time, etc. etc... so we started the refinance process with them. They sent a lady from outside our area to do the appraisal and it came back lower than in 2005 when the property was appraised. We knew market conditions had changed but this person did not know our market and didn't know that where we live acreage is going for the same money as in 2005-2007. When our house didn't appraise for the amount needed to do a conventional loan they didn't press us to move forward and we were already disenchanted with them so we didn't press the issue. We then decided to contact our current mortgage holder and asked about refinancing. They were "gung ho" to help us out and process our application immediately. They told me they did not charge for an "appraisal" but did charge a $400 application fee. We agreed to go forward but became very disenchanted as the process drug on. There seemed to be something MORE they needed on a daily basis. They asked for copies of our Social Security cards THREE times. They processed the application fee TWICE and we had a time getting in touch with someone who could get the 2nd fee reversed. I could write a novel about our refinance drama with them... They advised that our loan was approved and they were ready to move forward.

It was during this time that we were contacted by FFG. I admit I was skeptical at first, but was so exhausted with the whole process that when you told me you could have us closed within 15 to 20 days we decided to give you a shot. You did everything you said you would. You even took my call on a Sunday morning when I had a question that I knew would bug me all weekend. You kept in constant contact with us and didn't shift us off to another person (which I was very please about). We closed in mid-June within the timeframe you told us... and we closed at our house (which was awesome) and last but not least our house payment was reduced by almost $400 per month.

I never want to finance another house or refinance the one we are in... but, if conditions warrant us to do so - we will contact Foundation Financial again.

I had been growing frustrated with the Company I was dealing with on my refinance. There was no reason for the delay other than lack of caring from this major company. My credit and my refinance request were well within normal range. I was very wary in replying to the mail piece I received from Foundation Financial Group but reading it closely it was obvious that even the mailing was on a different level not just a come on to get you to call. I called on a Friday afternoon around one pm and spent maybe a total of two hours on the phone with them the entire day and by seven pm was set with an inspection company and had the majority of my work done. Absolutely the easiest home loan ever. Every contact from Foundation Financial Group was relevant quick and concise. I closed on the loan seven business days after first picking up the phone. I got a better deal than what I was working on and got it closed in an extremely short time frame. They are patient and answered every question I had most before I even asked. This is important to note as with other companies I had to ask questions but with Foundation Financial Group I was crossing the questions off my list as we went thru our phone conversation. I did not even need to ask them.

Oh and that other company that was not responding. They have never called me back on my loan that was in process. I will only use Foundation Financial Group for all of my future home mortgage needs. There is no other company that can work as concisely, quickly and efficiently as Foundation Financial Group, there just is not. I have been thru the home loan process six times now and there is no comparison.

The person I talked to there was happy to help me at first and quoted me very low rates. But once he looked up my credit score, the rates rose, points were added, and my monthly mortgage payment didn't budge except by a few dollars. He also quoted me a date 2 months in the future as to when my new mortgage closing date would be.

I know you understood what was at stake, but you will never know how big this is to me. When I considered refinancing and consolidating my first and second mortgage, I sent a request through the internet and received at least 7 offers. Most offers were competitive.
